Goran started his career as a journalist in Vecernji list 25 years ago and since then he has worked in almost every position in media, literally.
He started in Vecernji list and after 5 years decided to go to Jutarnji list (which are rivals on Croatian market). In Jutarnji he was responsible for recruitment of young journalists and teaching them secrets of our trade.
After Jutarnji, he has worked for Globus, news magazine, where he was deputy editor in chief.
Since 2007 he is in 24sata, started as the executive editor, deputy editor-in-chief and finally editor-in-chief, from 2015 now on.
He was also co-founder and editor in chief of news magazine Express, which is now leading and most influential political news magazine in Croatia.
He also started in-house production of books in cooperation with book publishing department, which resulted in the release of numerous bestsellers, both fiction and general. In cooperation with book publishing department, he started the edition of new Croatian Crime novels “Balkan Noir”, written by leading Croatian and regional authors, and also the annual award for prose books “Fritz”.
